  2. Financial Freedom Cards & Labels Print Margin Settings
  3. ------------------------------------------------------
  4. Important!  Printers vary and you may need to adjust our
  5. print margins.  The default margins in this program are for
  6. full-page printers.  Printers such as the Hewlett Packard
  7. 5xx and 6xx series Ink Jets cannot print full-page and 
  8. usually drop the last print line on 1" by 2 5/8" Avery
  9. label stock and several other card and label stocks. This
  10. is clearly a bug in the print drivers. To overcome this,
  11. we have included a "character spacing" option on the Layout
  12. Menu.  Please read the online help about this feature.

  14. PRINT MARGIN ADJUSTMENT
  15. -----------------------
  16. If your printer margins need adjustment, use the second group
  17. of margin settings below.  Please note that you really only
  18. need to change the TOP and LEFT MARGIN settings, as this is 
  19. really the major difference in the two types of printers.
  20. These margin settings will get you very close to where you
  21. need to be.  Next print a sheet of cards/labels and print
  22. the calibration ruler on the Layout Menu.  Use this ruler to
  23. "measure" the layout and "tweak" your margin settings to
  24. your specific printer.  We provide 300 calibration units
  25. for each inch, so you can really pin-point your margin
  26. settings. There are margin settings for each size of card
  27. and label stock. We have used Avery forms to compute the
  28. margin adjustments.  If you use forms by a different
  29. company, the margins below may not work. Use the 
  30. calibration ruler to measure your forms and work from that.
